Blogger's Brunch, Montreal
Hey guys! Happy Monday! This past weekend was spent in Montreal. Kayley and I hosted another
, but this time it was also a retreat! Bloggers, influencers & instagrammers from Halifax, Saint John, Fredericton and Toronto, all got together this weekend and we had a giant 4 day sleepover.
It was pretty friggen awesome.
This photographer, blogger, creative, industry is pretty amazing. But -there is no rule book on how to get anywhere or how to further your career.
It's hard!
Where there isn't a huge market for this on the East Coast, we think it's so important to gather like-minds and create a community. I love these events, they feel so special, and real. One of the the things Kayley and I really stressed to the girls upon arrival, was that this is a
safe space.
Safe to ask questions, open up about your life and aspirations,
a no judge zone
.
Once you set those boundaries, it's amazing to see the magic happen.
We rented our 4 bedroom apartment in the plateau through a website called
It was a pretty awesome spot, besides parking, that was a different story. LOL. We were close to all kinds of great restaurants, cute coffee shops, and many many instagrammable walls.
We hosted a Branding Workshop and really got into the details on getting started, how things evolve, the tough stuff and the most memorable moments. In this kind of industry it's really tough sometimes to figure out what your next move should be. We talked from an influencer's point of view, and Kayley also talked from a brand's point of view. We talked business models, scheduling, shaping your brand, and also your personal brand.
The brunch we had on Saturday was SO MUCH FUN. There was so much positive energy flowing and questions being asked and some amazing conversation. The food was delicious and we're so thankful to our sponsors
for the unreal smoothie bowls,
&
. We also had some great gift bag goodies from a few more sponsors including
,
,
,
&
. We're really lucky to have such support behind this concept, and we can't wait to run even further with it.
The afternoons were spent eating lunches, sangria and creating loads of content. These girls are so real and funny and it was really interesting hearing their stories and their visions for their brands. This retreat was really refreshing and so awesome to hangout with some of the coolest gals on the internet. Give them a follow xx
