Filmpreneur Summit, Playa Viva, Mexico
Eeeeee! First off, I need to say that this experience at the Filmpreneur Summit is honestly hard to put into words. It was incredible. I don't know whose idea it was mixing work with paradise (Greg Hemmings) but it was fcking genius. Two of my favourite things, talking business, and the ocean. So talking business by the ocean was DREAMLAND.
As an entrepreneur, I spend most of my days completely alone, tucked away in my studio. Turns out, most of these people do the same. Such amazing conversations were created when everyone was talking about their own profession, experiences, and day to day motions of their businesses. It's hard being a creative, it's hard to get experience, it's hard to get exposure and it's hard to make $$. Combining so many of the tools that I learned from each speaker on this trip, made the future look a whole lot more beautiful, positive, -and profitable. Hearing each person's story about their impact, cause, or willingness to change the world was so inspiring. I cannot wait to keep applying little bits of this knowledge to my own business.
We stayed at Playa Viva Eco Resort on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. It was absolutely breath taking and located right on the water. We all stayed in treehouses, so if it's on your bucket list to stay in a treehouse, bookmark this resort. It was pretty incredible how much all of their staff care so much about our planet and doing everything they can to minimize their footprint. Each morning volunteers scan the beach for baby sea turtles and release them into the ocean so they don't get eaten by other animals. This experience was so so so beautiful and truly unforgettable.
We also spent a day doing community service here in Mexico. We helped paint the soup kitchen in the near by community. It was so so good. The kids were to cute, and trying to chat with me but I know next to no spanish!!! Also on my list of things to learn after this trip.
Was such good vibes all around on this trip. Each person left feeling so high, motivated and so full of love!!!! How better to leave a vacation? (Work trip) LOL. Eeeeeee I am excited to have this post to look back on.
xx
