I've been promising this for so long and I'm so sorry it's taken me this long!!! Hahaha If you follow my Insta stories you've been seeing how under construction this whole condo has been since April! Justin and I have been having loads of fun renovating a few rooms in the place. Not one room is being made over start to finish at once, we just keep chipping away at all of them at the same time. I'm not sure it's efficient... but it's working for us. Haha.
The bathroom still isn't completely finished, but it's definitely the closest of all the rooms so I thought I'd share a little update with you guys! I'm a mild perfectionist so posting these with the finishing touches not present is killing me, but I'll update you on those once they're finished.
The bathroom before renos was a shade of lime green. (Great choice babe) Lol!! And a lot of brown in the shower curtain and cabinets. The space isn't very big, and the dark colors made it feel a lot smaller than it was. Some of the lights were out, and they were a dullish yellowey tone. It was a room that felt a little sad and needed some love haha.
I finally convinced Justin to let me work my magic and begin the room transformation and I'm so happy with how it's looking! We painted the walls Whisper White by Dulux Paints and I love love love it. The second thing to go was the shower curtain. I got this cute little pom curtain at Winners. It came with poms on the top of the curtain too but we cut them off and just left the detail at the bottom. I'm hoping this shower curtain will avoid my blue shampoo for a while, but I'm just waiting for it to splatter lol.
We replaced the lights with day light bulbs and that alone makes an INSANE difference in a space. It's so much fresher and brighter and happier to be in than dingy yellow lights. We're slowly making the switch in every room to daylight/cool tones bulbs.
This little runner is one I got at Mardens in Calais for 29.00! I bought it because I loved it and didn't even think of putting it in the bathroom until I ran out of ideas on where it should go. I love having it the length of the room and not just a little square to dry off on!
We spray painted the cabinets from their original brown color to white. Before they were painted you couldn't even tell how gorgeous black granite was because it all just mushed together. Now the countertop really pops. We spray painted the knobs and handles of the cabinets a silver colour to freshen them up a little too.
Stay tuned for the rest of the rooms to come!! And keep watching my IG Story to see some of the behind the scenes lol, they're always pretty candid!!
